Michael B. Hamburg
A native of Columbia, Maryland, Mike obtained his Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Real Estate and Finance at the University of Connecticut. It was during his undergraduate studies that Mike parlayed his teaching assistant experience in real estate finance into his love of law. A cum laude graduate of the University Of Baltimore School Of Law, Mike was honored to be selected as Executive Editor of The University of Baltimore Law Review.
Skilled in family law and civil litigation, as well as criminal defense, his published appellate cases include Gruss v. Gruss, a civil procedure issue, Lapides v. Trabbic, “I care about every client, and every case. Each case becomes personal to me—I take each situation to heart. I develop a bond with my clients. I become consumed with my cases, and am constantly defining my strategies.” —Mike Hamburgintentional interference with parent/child relations, and Abramson v. Wildman, breach of attorney/client contract.
A frequent speaker, Mike presented at the 2009 “Meet the Masters” MAJ Family Law Seminar. He also serves on the board of directors for the 606 Office Condominium and the Bullock Farm HOA. He is a member of the Baltimore County Bar Association and the Maryland Association for Justice. He is also an active volunteer for Jewish Legal Services, where Mike provides pro bono help and guidance for those who cannot afford to obtain counsel.
He enjoys competitive sports, and is always training for a triathlon or cycling event. He has completed many triathlons, and has set his sights on biking across northern Israel to benefit Alyn Hospital, which provides rehabilitation services to thousands of Israeli children. Mike is married to Stephanie Hamburg, who assists him at Baumohl/Hamburg. They are the proud parents of two daughters.
